    About the Authors

Born in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Chris Punsalan is a Filipino-American businessman, content creator, and former caregiver to his late grandmother. In 2017, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in visual media from Nevada State College, using his education to create video blogs (vlogs) about his everyday life. These vlogs eventually garnered him over one million subscribers on YouTube as a content creator. Chris also became well known as a music producer, creating tutorial videos that taught aspiring musicians how to use digital music programs and produce their own songs.

After his grandmother's passing, Chris continued his advocacy for caregivers through his social media platforms and public appearances. He has spoken at various public schools within the Clark County School District in Nevada, the University of Pittsburgh, and joined the AARP to share his story with congressmen and women at the US Capitol, aiming to help pass legislation to support caregivers in the United States. Chris has been featured on Katie Couric’s podcast Next Question with Katie Couric, People.com, ABS-CBN News, and other local networks.

Marion Esguerra, better known as Merz, is a budding author and business manager. He graduated from Nevada State College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and has a master’s degree in sports administration from the University of Miami. Cousin to Chris Punsalan, he has managed their podcast media company since 2022 and Chris’ online retail store, Chooseday, since 2023.

Prior to becoming a business manager, Merz has worked in music as a songwriter, artist manager, and show curator. In 2015, he pivoted into a career in sports working as a high school basketball coach and recruiter, helping dozens of student-athletes sign college basketball scholarships.

In pursuant of his master’s degree at Miami, he was recognized by his professors for his exceptional written works in ethics and sports marketing, graduating summa cum laude, and honored by the National Society of Leadership and Success.
